Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use ATutor to create an inclusive learning environment for all users.
- Log In and Set Up Your Profile - Go to the ATutor official website, open the login page, enter your username, password, and login. Now, set up your personal profile by adding all the required details including name, bio, and interests.
- Create and Assign Courses - Once logged in, get familiar with the interface, go to the admin panel, and select create a new course. Write down the course title, description, and other relevant details to help learners know what it is about.
- Organize Course Content - Next, use the built-in HTML editor or WYSIWYG visual editor to create lessons. Format text, add images, embed videos, insert math symbols (LaTeX) to make the course more interactive. Remember! You can also upload or import SCORM or IMS content packages anytime to be able to reuse or integrate external content easily.
- Personalizing the Learning Experience - Allow learners to adjust settings using IMS/ISO AccessForAll to customize fonts, colors, layout, and content display according to the needs.
- Create and Managing Tests and Assessments - Go to the Test/Survey Manager to create assessments. Choose the question types: multiple choice, matching, open-ended, etc. Set test rules and link assessments to the lessons or specific course sections.
- Enable Collaboration Through Work Groups - Create work groups for projects or assignments to promote collaboration and ensure effective learning.
- Set deadlines and review Assignments - Set clear deadlines for assignments and enforce students to submit their work in Assignment Drop Box. Review all submissions, leave feedback, and download files in bulk.
- Share and Manage Files - Set up shared folders for the whole class or specific groups to share resources.
- Encourage Learners to Use Communication Tools - Introduce learners to private messaging, discussion forums, and chat rooms to stay in touch.
