Its an old version
Pros

Moodle's programmability is great for those who are familiar with coding, as it allows you to customize the platform to suit your needs.

Cons

The software feels a little "old" and its styling is highly dependent on the course or system designer, offering no real "out of the box" appeal.

Ideal learning tool for projects and employees
Pros

If you're considering an eLearning tool, Moodle is the only one to look at. It's perfect for private projects, training or employee skill advancement. I especially value the ability to add scoring tests during courses, allowing for measurable skill improvement over time.

Cons

Building learning modules still takes a lot of time and the theming is limited if you want a fully customized appearance. It requires someone skilled to integrate it seamlessly into your intranet or portal.

A fantastic open-source LMS solution
Pros

It's a great option for many use cases but it does require a team to maintain and manage. As an open source solution with numerous customizations, you'll need ample resources to configure the system to meet your specific needs or use cases.

Cons

The lack of support and DIY approach can make Moodle time consuming to maintain and use.
