We find Totara Learn to be extremely versatile and we're constantly discovering new ways to utilize its features.
Cons
Totara is highly customizable, which was a bit overwhelming for us at first. However after setting things up and gaining some experience, it became much easier to use.

It enables us to provide customized experiences for both employees and the extended enterprise. The system is highly adaptable and working with a Totara partner allowed us to create a multi layer learning ecosystem. This flexibility transformed our LMS into a Learning Experience Platform.

It does everything we need and more. While setting it up can be complicated, once everything is configured it's great to use. It's particularly beneficial for reports, saving us a significant amount of time.
Cons
Setting up the system was quite complex but fortunately, we had Chambury's support to guide us through the process.

One of the best features is the flexibility admins have in configuring the software. We have been using Totara Learn for almost two years now and love it even more especially with the outstanding customer support from our vendor, Kineo. After transitioning from Learnforce LMS, which had a completely different interface, some learners found it a bit challengingl but LMS admins now appreciate the new flexibility for configuring things like custom fields.
Cons
There's inconsistency in the way reports are generated. For example SCORM reports are filtered differently from other user reports.

The product is easy to implement, it's fairly user-friendly for learners and easy to manage and maintain as an administrator.
Cons
Because it's built on Moodle, we have to be careful with retakes. It only records the first attempt so we need to plan ahead if certifications need updating.

A major challenge is the payment gateway integration for course access. The use of HR imports and a WordPress shop makes for a cumbersome setup.
Cons
It would be helpful to have better certificate issuance and management features, especially for different instructor groups.

recommending courses or programs to colleagues is a feature we feel is missing. It would also be great if more standard features could be added to course pages so instructional designers can create higher quality courses for end users. For example allowing end-users to upload videos, podcasts or PDFs.
