Exceptional for training needs

Pros

When we started using Alchemy at our new manufacturing facility, we got access to their onboarding and learning courses, along with videos on food safety and GMP. This proven to be quite beneficial for us as we expanded and brought in new employees. Plus it made it so much easier to ensure everyone completed the necessary training on food safety, hazards and other important processes.

Cons

It is useful but creating and managing our training content can be a hassle. Plus I wish we could just upload PDFs directly from our document control system instead of having to convert them to Alchemy's file format. Since it uses MS PowerPoint, the formatting often gets messed up when converting as screenshots and reference info don't always transfer properly, which means extra work to fix it.

Reliable tool

Pros

I really like how versatile and powerful the software is. And the flexibility it offers with reports, courses, user management and the Creator tool makes it stand out to me.

Cons

I'd love to have more alert notifications, the option to upload employee photos in their profiles and more search toolbars when setting up reports.

Keeps our employees engaged

Pros

The training videos are both entertaining and educational, which is great as it keeps our employees engaged.

Cons

Having to manually download updates every time annoys me a lot. It would be so much better if the updates happened automatically.

Packed with great features

Setting up and implementing all the features, including the add-ons we recently purchased was a smooth process.

Cons

Managing employees who go on leave is not as easy as I expected.

Amazing experience so far...

Pros

Intertek Alchemy is quite user-friendly, and the way it tracks training completion makes it outstanding. Without it, I'd probably be spending an extra 5 to 6 hours every week just keeping track of training. It really saves me a ton of time.

Cons

I have no complaints as the training content is great, very informative and covers detailed topics well.

Stand-out among rest

Pros

Even though I have used many training software but creating learning groups was the easiest with this one. Plus, tech support has been fantastic as the help is just a phone call away.

Cons

One thing I wish for is the option to create nested learning paths. I know this feature is in development but I hope it gets released soon.

They have the best training programs

Pros

I really like the training programs created by Alchemy. They are informative, straight to the point and fully compliant.

Cons

Fixing training records is not a simple task. Plus some employees show a lot of "in progress" courses just because they were enrolled in classes they didn't actually need. It would be nice if we had a way to clean up these records.

Compliance made simple and easy

Pros

Alchemy makes training development and management simple while keeping us compliant. Also it's the best to go paperless and we never have to chase down a sign-in sheet again.

Cons

It is a great addition, but I feel like it'd be even better if the courses built in Playbook were also available in e-Learning.

It provides standardized training for our entire operations team, ensuring everyone gets the same experience and all the important information they need.

Cons

One challenge we've faced is the limited language options. It would be really helpful if they offer more options.

A valuable tool for us...

Pros

The group-based learning with real-time comprehension checks using remotes has proven highly valuable for our manufacturing teams. Alchemy has given us much needed visibility into training gaps so we can address them right away. Also it helped us streamline and standardize our new hire onboarding, making the whole process more efficient. Plus, it allows individual departments to take more ownership of their safety and food safety training. Plus syncing with our HRIS was easy, which saved us from having to enter the same data twice.

Cons

Admin tasks could be streamlined more. Right now, there's too much redundancy to ensure users have the right content and access. Also, I feel like better integration between different Alchemy modules would make things easier for both admins and users. Also it would be quite helpful if purchased content could be used in Player, not just e-Learning.
